SACRAMENTO, CA (MPG) – A 29-year-old woman is dead following a shooting here Sept. 26, police said.

Samantha Cromwell was shot in the parking lot of Urban Air Trampoline Park & Indoor Playground, 1700 Arden Way and another woman suffered critical injuries there in the shooting, according to the Sacramento County Coroner and police. She was still in critical condition as of Sept. 30, police spokesperson Sgt. Justin Boyd said.

The shooting was reported to police just after 3:30 p.m. Sept. 26, according to a police news release.

Officers arrested 36-year-old Edward Tucker of Fresno as a suspect in the shooting, police said. Tucker was booked in the Sacramento County Main Jail on charges related to homicide, according to police.

Tucker is ineligible for bail, jail records say.

Cromwell has at least one child, according to a GoFundMe account, which Cromwell’s sister Alyvia Cromwell started to raise money for funeral expenses and Samantha Cromwell’s 8-year-old son DJ.

More than $5,000 had been raised as of 3:15 p.m. Oct. 1, toward the $9,000 goal.

Alyvia Cromwell said on the GoFundMe page the shooting was “due to a domestic violence situation.”

Police are still investigating the relationship between Tucker and Cromwell, Boyd said.
